Mission
I help entrepreneurs and organisations make their brand sharper, faster and indispensable. Strategy, story and visual in one hand, AI as accelerator, and I stand alongside you: from the first foundations to brand direction at scale.
Most brands don't fail through lack of quality, but through lack of focus. I combine brand strategy, design and AI in one approach, so you stand out more sharply in the market, attract clients faster and can charge higher prices. As a brand strategist and AI director, I'm your single point of contact. Everything aligned.
Since 2023, AI has been an integral part of how I work. Not as a gadget, but as a strategic tool. I use it to analyse more sharply, get to the heart of things faster and test ideas before they go to market. Where most entrepreneurs get stuck in phase two of AI use (trying out, doubting, comparing), I help them reach phase four: direction. Knowing what you deploy, why, and what you consciously leave aside. That's the heart of my work as a brand strategist and AI director.
The thinking remains mine and yours. Because a brand that runs on data alone lacks soul. And a brand that runs on instinct alone lacks direction. The combination is where it happens.
Brands like Basic-Fit, for which I developed the brand strategy and brand identity, show what's possible when strategy, identity and ambition are aligned. I still do this, but faster and sharper than ever.
No woolly stories. No endless meetings. A brand strategist and AI director who aligns strategy and identity, with a result you can put your name to.
Peter van der Steege Mission
I help entrepreneurs and organisations make their brand sharper, faster and indispensable. Strategy, story and visual in one hand, AI as accelerator, and I stand alongside you: from the first foundations to brand direction at scale.
The market is full of brands that look alike. Same tone, same structure, same story. That's no accident. AI makes it easier than ever to produce something quickly that looks professional. The result: more noise, less distinction. Being noticeably different has nothing to do with a flashier logo or a pricier agency. It's about knowing what makes you irreplaceable for the people you want to serve. That's a strategy question, before it becomes a design question. That's exactly where I start. Not with a moodboard, but with the question: what makes your position so specific that nobody can simply copy you? What you have afterwards isn't a house style that ends up in a drawer. It's a position you can hold every day. Noticeably different. Consistent. Recognisable as you.
Now you're probably thinking: then you're naming the best brands in the world straight away. Exactly. But why would you aim for something mediocre? You really don't need to sell shoes, flip burgers or move to Silicon Valley. Within your own sector there's room for your unique voice. As long as you let it be heard.
Strong brands distinguish themselves through their story and the emotional connection with their audience. What makes your brand special? What stories do you tell? With an authentic and compelling brand story, your brand can become just as attractive and memorable as the big names. I help entrepreneurs with that.

Methodologies
↑Choose the model that suits your situation
From thorough research via strategic design and expert construction to targeted growth. Four steps that convert your brand into more clients, a stronger position and better margins.
P
Probe
Investigate, question, uncover. No prejudgement, but sharp curiosity. What's happening beneath the surface? Where's the real anchor point? What's never been said aloud? Interview transcripts, analyses and source material are processed via AI into one shared diagnosis that the partner themselves endorses. Brief, intensive, and ends with that diagnosis on paper. Time: one to two weeks.
A
Architect
Design, structure, choose what needs to be built. Here you draw the blueprint, establish the architecture, choose the stack, formulate the why. You're not building anything yet. You're deciding what will be built. This is where AI direction shifts from loose tools to the architecture of the entire ecosystem. Strategic thinking work. Time: about one month.
C
Construct
Build. Actually build, with your hands: typography, code, copy and visual identity. The choices have been made, now you make. This is where craftsmanship becomes visible and AI direction distinguishes itself from traditional craft. You direct, AI produces, you approve and deliver. At a pace that would never be achievable without AI direction. Time: two to three months.
E
Expand
Expand, scale, grow. Not launch and done. Rather: the foundation is in place, now we roll it out, learn what works and expand into next markets, languages and audiences. AI direction shows what it can do at scale here: one director who unlocks production capacity that without AI would require an entire department.

Work that rolls out of an AI without human input carries no copyright. Sell that to a client and transfer the rights, and you're transferring nothing. Since 2 August 2026, Article 50 of the EU AI Regulation has been in force, and Anthropic is marking the text from its latest Claude models with an invisible watermark. If you write it yourself, edit it and put your name to it, you're in the clear. But what about "human"-generated content, actually?
