Brand identity Hotel Restaurant Aduard

Hotel Restaurant Aduard is a place where historical charm and a family approach and modern comfort come together. The tastefully appointed rooms offer a pleasant stay whether you come for relaxation or business.

The hotel sits in the heart of the Groningen countryside. The restaurant cooks with local ingredients. Straight from the land to your plate. That story deserved an identity that fits these times.

The hotel is a base for anyone wanting to explore the area. Cycling through the expansive landscape or returning to a room with views of the setting sun.

My team and I developed a completely new brand identity. The symbol comes from the setting sun. You see it from the rooms. The sun logo appears in gold on dark green. The colours radiate calm and luxury and quality and suit the serene atmosphere of the hotel.

Then we tackled the rest. The façade lettering. The flags. The beer mats. The door hanger with Please do not disturb and the signage to the rooms. The coffee cups in dark green and ochre yellow. And a brochure that tells the story of the hotel and the area.

The logo exists in a full version and in two round symbols on beige and white. A member of staff wears a dark green apron with the sun logo. On the flag at the mast is the hotel's web address.

The menu and the lunch menu and the drinks menu received a new design. On the drinks menu are the sections beers and bubbles and wines. On the cover of the menu is the sun logo with a subtle pattern. Inside runs a vintage pattern of line drawings with farm animals and kitchen utensils.

So the brand is consistent from the façade to the beer mat.
